The Kokua Crew and Mission Builder program gives people around the globe an opportunity to volunteer their time and energy to meet the needs of the University of the Nations. The volunteers work in areas like the Kitchen, House Keeping, Pre School, Mainenance, Construction and Grounds.
But that’s just part of what we do. The most important thing is our relationship with God and giving you the chance to encounter him in a special way during this unique time.
Our goal is to present you with plenty of opportunities and tools to equip you with everything you need to follow God no matter what the world throws at you. We also teach the importance of God’s word, relationship with each other, and what Church is all about.
This happens in our devotion times, small groups, prayer for each other, and one on ones with staff. We encourage and uplift… speaking Truth and life as we go.
And let’s not forget fun! After all we’re in Hawaii!! We love God by loving the natural beauty of the island and through friendship with each other.
YWAM • Youth With A Mission
The Kokua Crew & Mission Builder Program is under the wing of the Missions Organization called “Youth with a Mission” (YWAM).
Youth With A Mission is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. Also known as YWAM (pronounced “WHY-wham”), we unite in a common purpose to know God and to make Him known.
Back when we began in 1960, our main focus was to get youth involved in missions. Today, we still focus on youth, and we also involve people aged 9 to 90. We currently work in more than 1,100 locations in over 180 countries, with a staff of over 18,000.
One of the joys of participating in YWAM is to work with people from many nations. YWAM’s staff (known as “YWAMers”) come from over 130 countries, including places like Indonesia, Nepal, Mozambique, and Colombia.
We invite you to join us! Type a city name or a ministry idea into the search box below. Discover how you can use your gifts and callings in the YWAM world.
